Gary Colello
Chief Executive Officer

Gary Colello is a co-founder of the company and has spent many years acquiring companies and building their product base. Mr. Colello has served as Vice-President of Engineering for Powercell, General Manager of SatCon Technology Advance Power Products and Vice-President of Engineering at Omnirel Corporation. He has won several awards for design innovation using ceramic materials and earned dozens of patents in Flywheel, Power Electronics, Power Management and Turbine Engine design. Mr. Colello holds degrees in Materials, Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Dennis Darcy
Chief Technology Officer

Dennis Darcy is a co-founder of the company and was named Chief Technology Officer in 2003. Before joining Premium Power, Mr. Darcy was Director of Electrical Engineering at Powercell and has also served as Vice-President of Engineering for SatCon Fuel Cell Power Products, Senior Engineer at American Power Conversion, MRI Power Electronics Product Design Group Leader at Analogic Corporation and head of the Power & Control Electronics group at the Draper Laboratory. Mr. Darcy is a technical innovator behind several technology start-ups. He received a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and is a registered agent before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Mr. Darcy holds many patents in the areas of advanced measurement, signal processing, inertial navigation and sensor fusion.

Monique Faucher
Chief Operating Officer

Monique Faucher joined Premium Power just after its incorporation in 2002. She holds over 15 years of experience as a Program/Project Manager with the Department of Defense and has worked with several high-tech R&D companies in the Boston area in senior management positions including SatCon Technology Corporation and Technical Communications Corporation. While employed by the Air Force, Ms. Faucher was an integrated member of the Program Office for the Joint STARS project and managed communications system upgrades with budgets of as much as $40 Million. Monique earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics at the University of Maine and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell. She also holds a Masters Certificate in Program Management from George Washington University.

Mike Turmelle
Chief Financial Officer

Mike Turmelle joined the Company in September of 2007. Mr. Turmelle was the founding CFO of SatCon Technology Corporation and led the companies IPO in 1992. He structured the spinout of Satcon’s subsidiary Beacon Power Corporation and served as Beacon’s CFO until prior to its public offering in 2000. Mr. Turmelle spent 20 years with SatCon and has over 30 years experience in financial and operational management of public high tech companies. Mr. Turmelle holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Amherst College.

Peter Gibson
Vice President of Sales

Peter Gibson joined Premium Power in February, 2008, bringing more than 15 years of international sales experience within the energy industry with equipment manufacturers, electric utilities and innovative technology developers.

After ten years with Rolls-Royce plc, which included sales and marketing leadership assignments in the UK, Singapore, Virginia and Ohio, developing new business for both aero-derivative gas turbine generating and cogeneration sets and large steam turbine generators, Peter joined DTE Energy Technologies (D|Tech) in Farmington Hills, MI, as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. D|Tech was a non-regulated business wholly owned by Detroit-based DTE Energy formed to promote the development and application of high reliability, on-site distributed generation assets by utilities and end-users.

Most recently Peter was head of business development at Energy Conversion Devices, Inc., in Rochester Hills, MI, where he was responsible for hydrogen fuel cell and solid hydrogen storage programs.

Peter graduated with first class honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, England.
